A secure public records request form for WordPress that avoids WordPress user meta and minimizes data retention. Requests are delivered by email by default, with anti-abuse controls enabled out of the box.

FOIA Shield exists to support lawful public access to government records while reducing unnecessary personal data exposure. The project advocates for transparency in government operations and privacy for individuals.

This is a public project. Anyone can take a copy of the plugin and use it, modify it, or build on it.

There is no charge to download FOIA Shield. No paid tiers, no upsells, and no account requirement.

Demo access

A live demonstration page is available for evaluating FOIA Shield in operation. The demo is password-protected to limit automated abuse and to avoid encouraging submission of real personal data in a public environment.
